Am I the only one who had a dimensioning nightmare with a custom window detail?

Last month I was detailing a custom bay window for a house in Spokane. The architect's sketch had a 15 degree angle, but the builder's template was set for 12. I spent three hours cross-checking the foundation plan and the interior elevations before I caught it. How do you guys handle it when the initial site measurements don't match the design drawings?

Oh man, that "three hours cross-checking" line hit me. That is the absolute worst kind of puzzle. I always take a ton of photos on site now, like a crazy person, and mark up a printout right there. Still feels like you're a detective sometimes trying to figure out which drawing is actually correct.

My buddy had a set of drawings where the floor plan and the electrical layout showed outlets on completely different walls. The poor guy wired half a room before he caught it.
