Took me 6 months to realize I was using the canned biscuits wrong

Honestly, I kept making these sad, flat dollar store biscuits and thought they were just bad. Then my sister watched me plop them in the pan straight from the can and said 'you know you're supposed to flatten them out first, right?' Has anyone else missed an obvious step like that with a cheap staple?
