The Dollar Store Canned Chicken is actually fine if you drain it right
I kept seeing people complain that the $1.25 canned chicken at Dollar Tree is gross and watery. I tried it twice and hated it too. Then my aunt showed me she puts the whole can in the fridge overnight before opening. You open it, pour off the jelly stuff on top, and it turns out flaky like regular canned chicken. Made a buffalo chicken dip with it last week and nobody could tell. Anyone else got a trick for making dollar store protein work better?

Have you tried adding a splash of vinegar while it drains to cut the canned taste?
