Spent $7 on dollar store 'pizza sauce' and ruined 4 dinners in one week
So I grabbed 2 jars of the 99 cent marinara from Dollar Tree thinking it was the same as the $2.50 stuff at Walmart, and it was watery and sweet like ketchup mixed with water. Used it on english muffin pizzas, pasta, and even a meatball sub, and all 4 meals tasted off, my kid wouldn't even finish the second one. That is roughly $3.96 down the drain plus the food I wasted trying to make it work, when I could have just paid $5 for one decent jar. I get that this community is all about stretching a buck but some stuff at the dollar store is a trap. What dollar store item burned you so I know what to skip next time?
