TIL I was painting walls in the wrong direction for 3 years
I was painting a bedroom last Saturday and my neighbor leaned over the fence to say hey. He watches me roll for like 30 seconds then asks why I'm painting in a W pattern instead of straight up and down. Said I was leaving streaks everywhere. Now I gotta repaint the whole living room I did last month.

Read somewhere that W patterns are actually better for textured walls...

Wait, wouldn't the W pattern create more of a mess with all the texture catching the paint? Seems like you'd want something that glides smoother on rough surfaces.
