Burned $120 on a cheap tile cutter that couldn't handle porcelain
Bought a $120 manual tile cutter from Home Depot to do my kitchen backsplash and it chipped every single tile over 12x24. Anyone else find out the hard way you need a wet saw for porcelain?

Used to think wet saws were overkill, but porcelain taught me different real quick.

Isn't it funny how porcelain just shatters all your preconceived notions about what's "necessary"? I definitely learned that lesson after trying to cut a single tile with a manual cutter and ending up with what looked like abstract art scattered across the garage floor. The wet saw turned out to be cheaper than a therapy session for that mistake. Still, I'll never admit to my husband that he was right about buying the big one.
