Spent $300 on a Milwaukee M18 Fuel impact driver and it completely changed my deck build

I was using an old corded drill for everything, but the cord kept getting in the way and the power was weak. The new driver let me zip through all the lag bolts in half the time, and the battery lasted the whole weekend. But my buddy says I wasted cash and a basic $100 model would have done the same job. Has anyone else felt a big jump was worth it for a specific tool, or is it just marketing?

Ever notice how the right tool just makes the whole job feel different? That extra power and no cord isn't just about speed, it's about not fighting your equipment. Your buddy might not get it, but finishing a project without the hassle is worth every penny.

Sometimes the cord is a small price to pay for that steady, reliable power though.
