Just found a way to fix a squeaky floorboard without pulling up the whole floor

I had one board in my hallway that sounded like a mouse every time you stepped on it. I drilled a tiny hole at an angle into the joist space and used a syringe to inject some carpenter's glue, then put a weight on it overnight. Has anyone else used this trick for a spot that's hard to get to from below?

Oh that mouse-squeak sound is the worst, right? Charlie269 is spot on about getting glue to the exact spot. My old apartment had a floorboard near the bathroom that cried like a ghost every midnight trip. You start to dread walking over it. A little targeted glue sounds way better than listening to that for years.

That's a clever fix. It's funny how the best solutions are often just about getting the right stuff to the right spot, like with a glue syringe instead of a whole tear-down.
