Guy at the hardware store in Reno told me to stop buying the $8 tubes of crack filler and I'm still chewing on it
I was in the aisle picking up two more tubes of that pourable crack stuff when an older guy in a trucker hat told me he quit using it years ago because it shrinks and pops back out after one winter. He said he switched to a hot pour kettle he found used for $60 and hasn't touched a tube since. I'm not ready to buy a kettle, but it made me wonder if I'm just patching the same 20 feet of cracks in my driveway every fall for nothing. Has anyone here actually made the jump from tubes to hot pour, and was it worth the hassle?
