Crack filler disaster on a 90 degree day in Phoenix
Last July I spent all morning filling a 40 foot crack with that rubberized stuff from the hardware store. By 3pm it bubbled up and turned into a gooey mess that looked worse than the original crack. A neighbor walking his dog stopped and said I should've wet the driveway first and waited for the sun to drop below the roofline. He showed me how to push the filler in with a putty knife instead of just pouring it, and it held through the whole monsoon season. Anyone else run into this on hot pavement, or do you just avoid sealing below 80 degrees?
