Can we talk about how driveway sealing went from a 2 person job to a solo job with one $18 tool?
My neighbor Dale stopped by while I was filling cracks on my sloped driveway last weekend and he could not stop talking about how he and his dad used to do this job back in the 80s. He said they needed two guys, a bucket of hot tar, and a whole afternoon just to handle a 40 foot stretch. Now I do the same run alone in about 90 minutes with a $18 pour spout and some cold patch from the hardware store. He stood there kind of quiet for a second and said he wished his dad could see how easy it got. I keep thinking about that, because I used to dread this chore and now it is almost relaxing. Has anyone else had an older neighbor or relative react like that when they see how the new stuff works?
