Blew through 3 bags of leveling mix before dumping sand in the joints
Last month I was patching a low spot near my garage in Akron and the bagged mix kept sinking after every rain. On my third try I grabbed a bucket of playground sand from my kid's sandbox, swept it into the joint, then hit it with the hose. That sand locked everything in place and now the patch has held through two storms without a dip. Anyone else use sand as a base before pouring self-leveler or is that just a hack I got lucky with?
