A retired asphalt foreman in Ohio showed me the paint trick for cold cracks
Back at my old house in Akron, an older neighbor came over while I was staring down a 14 foot hairline crack that would not stay sealed. He said I was fighting the wrong problem, and watched as he wiped the area with a dry rag and pushed in regular latex paint before the cold patch. Next season that line never came back, and I have used that same two step routine on every narrow split since. Anyone else got a retired pro tip that beat the expensive store products?
