Switched from bagged concrete to mixing my own for fence posts

Always used the quick-set bags for convenience, but after doing 12 posts for my backyard, the cost difference was huge - mixing my own saved me about $45 total. Has anyone else found the extra effort worth it for bigger projects?

Seriously wish I knew that before doing my own fence last year. My back still hurts from hauling all those bags and now I'm doing the math on how much I overpaid. Did you find mixing it yourself was way messier too or just me?

Nah, the mix was way easier than hauling 50lb bags from the store.
