I was about to scrap a whole sheet of plywood because my circular saw guide slipped, but a trick with blue painter's tape saved it.

That tape trick is just a temporary fix though.

Ever notice how the best fixes are always the simplest? It's like we're trained to look for the complicated, expensive solution first. That blue tape trick is just a piece of a bigger idea, using what's already around you to solve a problem. Makes me wonder how many other things we throw out that could be saved with a basic hack.
