Built a shed with screws instead of nails, never doing it the old way again
Last month I put up a 10x12 shed in my backyard in Austin. I used galvanized screws for the frame and flooring instead of the usual 16d nails like the plans said. The difference showed up when I had to fix a mistake on the back corner, I just backed the screw out and moved the stud over in like 5 minutes. With nails that woulda been a pry bar and a new board. Anyone else switched to screws for framing or am I just overthinking it?

My uncle did the same thing on a treehouse for my cousins years back and he still talks about it at every cookout. He had this one crooked board he must've moved four times and every time it was just zip zip with the drill, no drama. The rest of us were up there with hammers smashing our thumbs like a bunch of clowns. Only thing he ever warned me about was screws can snap if you're cranking on them wrong, but he never had one break on him. That treehouse is still standing too, so I guess the old way isn't always the best way.
