I finally figured out why my rear derailleur kept acting up
I was adjusting the limit screws on my old road bike last weekend, and I kept tightening the 'L' screw to stop the chain from dropping inwards. Turns out I had the cable tension WAY too high, which was pulling the derailleur past the limit no matter what. I backed off the barrel adjuster a full two turns, reset the limit screw, and it clicked into place perfectly. Has anyone else fought with a shifting problem that was actually just a simple cable issue?

Wasn't that the 'H' screw for the inner limit?

Honestly that happens with so many stuff. You can be messing with the wrong thing for ages when the real fix is way simpler. Tbh it's like when your computer acts up and you just need to restart it.
