Bought a cheap chain tool from Harbor Freight and it snapped on the third link
I was trying to shorten a new chain for my old Schwinn last weekend. The tool was only $12, so I figured why not. The handle bent and the pin sheared right off when I put any real pressure on it. Ended up driving across town to the bike shop and paying $25 for them to finish the job. Anyone know a solid chain tool that won't break the bank?

Man that's the worst, when a tool fails halfway through a job lol. Harbor Freight is great for some things but their bike tools can be real hit or miss. I've had good luck with the Park Tool one, it's more money but feels solid. That drive across town sounds like the real kicker though.
