The $40 portable router that became my lifeline in a Lisbon Airbnb with one working outlet.
I had to run an ethernet cable from the kitchen, through the hallway, and into the bedroom just to get a stable signal for a client call, and the whole setup looked like some kind of desperate tech spiderweb.

My last trip I packed a 50-foot flat ethernet cable just for this. It tucks under rugs and door frames so you don't trip. Total game changer for those weird apartment layouts.
