I was reading a survey from 2023 on Nomad List and it said 42% of people working remotely abroad bring in less than $1,500 a month. Half the folks in the comments swear that's plenty in Chiang Mai or Medellin, and the other half say it's impossible once you add visas, health cover, and flights. So which is it? Are the low earners just staying in cheap spots and skipping the fancy coworking, or is the whole thing mostly trust fund money? Would love to hear what people actually spend in a normal month.
