Just realized my cheap e-reader died mid-flight to Bangkok

I was 3 hours into a 6 hour flight from Dubai when my Kindle just froze and went black. Had to stare at the seat back screen for the rest of the trip. Anybody else carry a backup book or just me?

Real books don't freeze mid-flight because they don't need batteries.
