I finally saw what two years of coworking spaces does to a person
Ran into a guy I met at a hostel in medellin back in 2022. Dude was all about freedom, never wanted a lease or a routine. Saw him last week at a hub in bangkok. He had the same laptop, same coffee order, same seat reservation. Looked tired. Asked him if he ever went back to that beach town he loved. He said he hasn't left this city in 8 months. Kind of hit me that the whole nomad thing can turn into just another office if you let it. Has anyone else watched their own vibe change over a couple years?

Does that guy ever mention missing anything from before, or is it just kind of settling into the grind now? I had a buddy who went full nomad for three years and he ended up living out of a storage unit in lisbon for six months, just ordering the same burger every night. It snuck up on him real slow, like the whole freedom thing became its own cage without him even noticing.

Freedom turns into a rut before you even know it happened.
