Coworking host said "book 2 weeks, not 1" and saved my trip
I landed in Medellin for a month and booked a single week at a place near Laureles. The host warned me the good apartments go fast and I brushed it off. By day 5 everything decent under $600 was gone, so I paid $780 for a spot with a broken AC. Has anyone else ignored local advice and had it blow up in their face?

That "the good apartments go fast" warning is real, I did the exact same thing in Lisbon and ended up in a dump with no windows for way more money. Lesson learned the hard way, locals always know the market better than we do.
