Spent 6 hours last Friday cleaning up jagged edges on a 4000px dragon sketch before realizing my brush was set to 40% hardness
I kept blaming my tablet pressure curve for weeks until I opened a fresh canvas and drew one line with a hard round brush, and suddenly every edge was clean, so now I want to know what dumb setting has been quietly ruining everyone else's linework.
Mine was the smoothing setting buried in my brush menu that had somehow gotten cranked way up, so every line came out soft and wobbly no matter how steady I held my hand. I fixed it by setting up a plain hard round brush as my default startup tool, and now I test one quick stroke on a scratch layer before I start any real drawing. Takes ten seconds and it has saved me hours of redoing edges.
