Debate time: Is it better to post your digital art online right away or wait and build a full portfolio? Last month I rushed to post a new character piece on ArtStation, but three years ago I waited until I had 20 finished pieces before starting my Instagram. Both had totally different results!

Oh man, I was just reading this blog post from an artist who said posting right away is key. They argued that getting that early feedback, even on rough work, totally changed their style for the better. Like, they posted a sketch that got torn apart for bad anatomy, so they fixed it and learned faster. But then they also said a full portfolio looks way more professional if you're trying to get hired. So maybe it just depends on what you want right now? Instant talk or a polished showroom.

Posting a sketch that got torn apart for bad anatomy? That takes some real guts. I'd be too scared of mean comments to put rough work out there like that. The idea of learning in public is pretty brave, but I don't know if my ego could handle it.
