Tried a new injector puller on a 6.7 Powerstroke and it just spun in the bore.
Used a slide hammer style tool from a buddy, but the threads on the adapter stripped right out. Learned that not all aftermarket puller kits have hardened steel threads. Anyone know a solid brand for these, or is it better to just make your own tool?

Honestly, cheap tools are a universal headache.

You are so right about that... cheap tools are the worst. I bought a bargain socket set last year and the ratchet gave out after two uses. The metal just sheared right off... felt like it was made of tin foil. Ended up having to buy a decent one anyway, so I wasted money twice. It's a lesson you only need to learn once, I guess.
