Update: the lady next door who waters her lawn at 3am

Used to piss me off. Lawn sprinklers kicking on at 3am every single night. Thought she was nuts or just rude. Finally ran into her at the mailbox last week and asked why. She said her house has old pipes. Water pressure drops during the day. If she waters at 3am, the whole system actually works right. City plumber quoted her $4k to fix it. So she just sets a timer. Honestly never thought about that. Made me feel like a jerk for all the dirty looks I gave her. Anyone else ever assume someone was being weird but it turned out to be something practical?

Yeah exactly. My neighbor used to rev his truck at 6am every Saturday. Found out he works night shift and that was his only time to jump the battery.
