Found out my neighbor was secretly breeding pigeons in her garage

I started noticing weird cooing sounds at 3 AM from the house next door, so I peeked through a crack in her garage door last Tuesday. Turns out she had over 40 pigeons living in there with space heaters and stacked cages. Animal control came by and counted 47 birds total, and she got fined $300 for improper housing. Has anyone else dealt with a neighbor keeping weird animals indoors?

Peeked through a crack in her garage door" - that's borderline creepy honestly, but I get why you did it. The thing nobody's bringing up is the smell. 40 pigeons in a garage with space heaters? That place had to reek of ammonia from the droppings. Bird poop is nasty when it builds up, and it can actually hurt your lungs if you breathe it in long enough. So there's a real health risk for your neighbor too, not just the birds. She might have been trying to breed them for some kind of hobby or even for selling, but that setup was a disaster waiting to happen. Hope animal control made her clean it out properly.
