Hit 1,000 saved drafts today and realized they are tiny time capsules
I keep a folder of half started stories and scene snippets. This morning I hit 1,000 files and when I scrolled through the oldest ones, I found one I wrote in 2019 about a guy who only communicated through sticky notes. Reading it felt like opening a box of old Polaroids, I remembered exactly where I sat when I wrote it and what was stressing me out that week. The milestone number itself was cool, but what surprised me was how each draft holds a tiny stamp of who I was. Have any of you gone back through old prompts or unfinished pieces and spotted your own voice changing over time?
