My cousin laughed at my 40 hour Animal Crossing island and said his Stardew farm takes real skill
So my cousin Danny came over last Saturday and saw me playing Animal Crossing on my couch. I was about 40 hours into fixing up my island, moving trees around, putting down paths, the usual slow stuff. He watches for a minute and goes, "that game plays itself, you just decorate, my Stardew farm actually takes brain power." I laughed it off at first but it stuck with me the rest of the night. Here is the thing, I play both games and I never once thought about which one is harder. I play these games to unlock my brain after work, not to prove something. I sat there Sunday morning watering my virtual flowers and honestly felt kinda dumb for even caring. It bugs me that we all turn relaxation into a contest. Why does a slow game need to earn respect by being hard? Now I keep second guessing which one I pick up at night, which is the dumbest problem ever. Does anyone else deal with this, where somebody makes you feel weird about the cozy game you love most?

Your cousin saying Stardew "takes brain power" is just him defending his own game, not a real point about yours. I play both and neither one is hard, they're just different kinds of chill. The only person making this a contest is you sitting there second guessing yourself over which flowers to water.
