Shoutout to the cheap hair steamer I bought on a whim

I was super skeptical about those $35 tabletop steamers on Amazon, thought they were just gimmicks for influencers. Then last month a client came in with dry, brittle hair from over-bleaching and asked for something deep. I figured why not, let me try the steamer with my regular conditioner instead of dropping $80 on a fancy treatment. Honestly, the difference was wild, her hair felt soft and looked shiny after 15 minutes under it. Now I use it on every color service that involves lightener, and touch-ups seem to lift way more evenly. Has anyone else had luck with a cheap steamer, or am I just getting lucky with my clients?

My buddy swore by his $30 one till it shot steam in his face. Worth it though.
