Just realized I've been over-processing color for years after a client in Denver showed me her natural gray regrowth

She asked me to blend it instead of covering it, and the result looked way healthier. Do you think the industry pushes full coverage too hard?

Isn't this just part of a bigger push for everything to look "done"? We see it with makeup and even home decor, where natural texture gets hidden. It feels like we're sold an idea of perfection that isn't real.

That's a really good point about the "done" look. It's weird how this even shows up in things like nature shows now, where they edit out animal sounds and add fake bug noises to make it feel more "wild." We're smoothing over reality itself, which is kind of scary when you think about it. The goal seems to be making everything feel safe and controlled, even stuff that's supposed to be messy. So it's not just about selling products, it's about selling a whole feeling that life should be a smooth, quiet, filtered experience.
