Why does every documentary about JFK skip the second gunman witness accounts?

I was rewatching a big name Netflix doc on JFK last week and I swear they spent 20 minutes on the magic bullet theory but never once mentioned the guys standing right there on the grassy knoll who said they heard shots coming from behind the fence. I work alone laying floors and I spend a lot of time listening to podcasts and old testimony recordings. There's this one witness, Lee Bowers Jr., who was in a railroad tower and clearly saw two men behind that fence acting suspicious before the motorcade came through. His testimony is public record but most docs just leave it out completely. Why would all these filmmakers cherry pick what to include? The material is right there for anyone to look up, its not some secret file. Has anyone else compared the witness lists between the Warren Commission and modern docs? I feel like I'm missing something obvious about how these productions pick their sources.

Nah, I think most docs are just telling the story that fits their narrative.

Last week I saw a documentary about a fishing town that left out the whole pollution angle because the director wanted a "pure" story. That same urge to clean things up and make them fit a certain idea happens in kitchens, at family reunions, everywhere. It's pretty rare to get the full, messy picture from anyone telling a story, not just in documentaries.
