Cracked open a new angle on moon landing footage after noticing time stamps didn't match at a backyard BBQ
I was at my cousin's place in Phoenix last July and we pulled up some Apollo 11 clips on his laptop, and the jump between two frames was off by a full second, which got me wondering how many other cuts are hiding in plain sight anyone else ever spot weird edits in those old NASA reels?

Sure, blame it on the backyard BBQ (like the grill has a hidden agenda, right?). Next you'll be telling me the hot dogs were actually coded messages from NASA. But seriously, a full second gap? That's like a director leaving a boom mic in the shot and saying "it's fine." Maybe they were just trying to sync up the barbecue timer with the moon walk footage, but it's a weird little glitch.

Oh man, you nailed it with that boom mic comparison. I noticed the same thing watching it live as a kid and it always bugged me. My dad was a big space guy and even he was like "huh, that's weird" when that gap showed up. It's like when you're watching a movie and someone's pouring a drink but the glass level doesn't change between cuts. A one second gap in a live broadcast from the moon is the same kind of slip up. Makes you wonder what else got edited out that day.
