Hand float vs power trowel on a small garage slab
Just finished a 400 square foot garage pour over in Fort Worth and decided to try the hand float first on half of it while my helper ran the power trowel on the other. The hand float side came out noticeably flatter with fewer bird baths, even though it took me an extra 20 minutes. Has anybody else found that power trowels are overkill on anything under 500 square feet?

My 300 square foot patio still has a puddle in the middle that doubles as a mosquito nursery a year later, so you're already doing better than me. Guess I'll stick to hand floating from now on, or just convince everyone they wanted a "natural pond feature.
