Can we talk about the time I swore by magnesium floats for everything?
A foreman on a big pour in Dallas last summer made me use a wood float first on a tricky section, and it saved the finish from getting that plastic sheen. Anyone have a go-to tool they were wrong about?

My old boss in Phoenix swore by a steel trowel for final passes. I fought him on it for years, but he was totally right.

My first year in Florida, I burned through a whole case of plastic edgers. Switched to a basic metal one and it just holds up better in the heat, no comparison.
