Found out our neighborhood tool library saved people $12,000 last year on rentals alone

I was helping with the annual report for our shared tool library in Denver and the coordinator showed me that stat from the checkout logs, has anyone else seen numbers like that in their community?

Does that $12k count savings from not having to buy one-time-use tools too, or is it just the rental fees they saved people?

Guess they forgot to factor in the 127 slightly used Allen wrenches that now live in a junk drawer somewhere. $12k doesn't cover the emotional toll of sorting through those.
