Borrowed a pressure washer instead of buying one, saved my driveway and my wallet

Our driveway looked like a moss farm after two wet Seattle winters. I almost bought a $300 gas unit, but our tool library had an electric one for $5 a day. Took me about 3 hours to do the whole thing, and honestly the electric model had plenty of power for the job. The gas one might be faster for big commercial lots, but for a home slab this was way simpler to handle and store. Has anyone else tried renting or borrowing before buying a bigger tool like this, or do you just bite the bullet?

Borrowed a tiller from the same kind of setup last spring. Our side yard was pure clay and trying to dig it with a shovel was a joke. Cost me $8 for the day and it ripped through that dirt like butter. A new one runs around $200 and I would have used it maybe twice a year tops. Storage is the real killer too, my garage is already packed with stuff I actually need weekly. Renting makes way more sense for anything you are not using every single weekend. That electric washer sounds like a solid deal, especially since you did not have to mess with gas or oil.
