Vent: I think tough love advice works better than always being soft
Back when I first joined online groups, people didn't hold back if you messed up, and it made you listen. These days, advice is so gentle it often misses the point, like how to handle a rude neighbor. I've seen folks tip-toe around saying someone's project idea is flawed, which just leads to more work later. Why can't we just say what needs to be said without all the fluff? Maybe I'm old school, but a sharp word used to mean someone cared enough to be real. Doesn't that actually help people grow faster? Now it feels like we're too scared to offend, even if it means worse outcomes.

Yeah tell me about it, my boss's blunt feedback actually made me better.
