I finally got why my brother hates meal prepping
My brother called me out last week after I sent him a pic of my sunday meal prep. He said I was just making food that would sit in the fridge for days and lose its taste. At first I got defensive because I thought he was just lazy. But then I actually paid attention to my own habits. I realized I was spending 3 hours every sunday making food that by wednesday tasted like cardboard. He was right that I was doing it for the idea of being organized, not for actual good food. Now I prep just the ingredients instead of full meals and it tastes way better. Has anyone else found a middle ground that actually works?

Sunday prepping for 3 hours is way too much time for food that goes bad by Wednesday. You listed the taste fading but also the texture gets weird after a few days especially with veggies. Have you tried prepping just proteins and combining them with fresh stuff during the week?

Ask @troymorgan if they've actually tried that though, because I have and the proteins still dry out by day 4 in the fridge. I'm curious what kind of proteins you're prepping that actually hold up. The chicken breast I make on Sunday is basically shoe leather by Wednesday no matter how I store it.
