My brother says reading digital comics makes you less of a collector and we almost fought over Thanksgiving dinner
Back in 2021 my brother switched to Comixology and sold his whole 8 longboxes to a guy in Reno for $600, and last week at dinner he called my shelf of floppies 'clutter with extra steps.' I said buying a file isn't the same as hunting down issue 12 at a con in Portland for 4 years, and he said I'm just paying rent on paper. So who's right, is a collection about the comics you own or the hunt you went through to get them?

But did he even read all 8 longboxes before he dumped them, or was he just hoarding paper he never opened? And when he buys a digital comic, does he ever go back and reread it, or does it just sit in an app he forgets about?
