My uncle swore a $12 blade grinder would beat my $150 burr setup, and I hate that he was half right

He told me this back in 2019 while we were cleaning out my grandma's place in Dayton, and I finally tried it last weekend out of spite. Now I'm curious, has anyone else gotten a decent cup from a cheap blade grinder if you just pulse it and shake it around?
