Knocked out my first Python script 6 years ago on a borrowed laptop, and last Tuesday I finally debugged my kid's homework code without looking anything up

That moment when it just clicks is everything. Six years of slow grinding and then suddenly you're the person your kid comes to for help. My turning point was writing a loop to rename a hundred photos instead of doing it by hand. Took me two hours and saved me maybe twenty minutes, but I felt like a wizard. It's never about the big projects, it's the little wins that stack up.
