Appreciation post: The shop foreman who saved me from a crash
Had a 3/4 endmill snap yesterday on a tight pocket in 6061 aluminum. Foreman caught me before I hit cycle start and showed me my feed rate was way too high for the stepover I programmed. Has anyone else had a close call that another operator caught just in time?

Good point, but was the foreman cool about it or did he make you feel stupid? Some guys will jump in and save your skin but then ride you about it for weeks. The way someone delivers that kind of feedback can make or break how much you actually learn from it. Did he just point out the mistake or did he walk you through the math on why your feed was wrong?
