Remember when people used to say solar panels took more energy to make than they ever gave back?
I still hear that sometimes, mostly from my uncle. The numbers don't lie though. A panel pays back its making energy in about 2 years now, down from 8 years in the 90s. It matters because it stops people from even looking into it. Anyone have a good way to explain this to folks stuck on old info?

Why believe a 90s stat when the math is so much better now?

Newer math doesn't fix old data if the collection method was flawed from the start.
