I finally took a train to visit my friend and thought about my carbon footprint

I went on a weekend trip using only trains and buses, and it took longer but felt better. I mean, seeing all the cars on the highway made me realize how much we drive. Idk, maybe it's just me but I think small changes like this add up. What do you all do to travel in a way that's kinder to the planet? Let's share stories.

Honestly I feel like this whole personal footprint thing misses the point. My one train ride doesn't matter when a single cargo ship or factory puts out more pollution in a minute than my car does in a year. We keep getting told to change our tiny habits while the real problem just gets bigger.

Yeah the "tiny habits" thing feels pointless sometimes. I started focusing on bigger local stuff like pushing for better bus routes. Feels more real than just recycling.

Ever notice how we talk about being green but still drive everywhere? I see more people on buses now, but the traffic just gets worse. Makes you think if we're really getting anywhere.
