Appreciation post for my city's new e-bike rebate in Portland

I used to drive 12 miles to work every day, but last month I got $400 back from the city for an e-bike and my commute is now 40 minutes of actual joy. Has anyone else tried the local rebate programs and found the paperwork was way easier than they thought?

honestly the paperwork took me like 20 minutes and I was shocked. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but the rebate showed up in my account before I even finished my morning coffee. my only regret is not doing it a year ago. the city made it way less painful than renewing my driver's license, which is saying a lot. now I actually look forward to my commute and my gas bill is basically nothing.
