Am I the only one who thinks the 60,000 people at that climate march means less than my 8 neighbors who actually showed up to the city council meeting? | Climate Action - The Community Guide

I went to a big climate march in Denver last month and they kept saying 60,000 people came, but I left feeling like nothing happened after all the signs went in the trash. Meanwhile 8 of us showed up to a boring Tuesday council meeting about a new bike lane and it actually got approved, which surprised me more than the big crowd number. Is anyone else starting to think these huge turnout numbers are just a feel good stat and the small local stuff is where things really move?
