My chip count hit 47 on one mug and that is my wake up call
I was washing my grandpa's old diner mug from his place in Akron and started counting the chips along the rim, got to 47 before I made myself stop. The scary part is I found 3 new ones by the handle this month alone, which means I am still bumping it on the sink even though I swore I would be careful. Has anyone found a way to use a mug like this daily without it falling apart more, or am I just racing to see how many chips it can take?

Man, 47 chips and you still gonna drink your coffee out of that thing? At this rate your grandpa's mug is gonna turn into a pile of dust before you finish counting again. Just put it on a shelf and use a normal mug, unless you want 47 to become 100.
