Found out my favorite mug is worth like $40 now but I wont sell it

I was cleaning my chipped mug last week and noticed a tiny stamp on the bottom I never saw before. Googled it and apparently it's a limited run from some 90s coffee chain promotion. Some dude on eBay is selling one for $40 plus shipping. Mine has a big crack down the side and a chip near the handle but I still drank my morning coffee from it this morning. Anyone else accidentally own something valuable that's totally wrecked?

Wait, @charlesb42 but who actually MADE those 90s coffee chain mugs anyway? Like, is it possible they were made by some famous ceramic artist who just did a weird side gig nobody remembers? I keep thinking about that.

Did I ever tell you what happened to my buddy Mark? He found this old baseball card in his dad's attic, all curled up and stained from a roof leak. Looked up the player and it was a Mickey Mantle from like 1952 or something, but the card was basically ruined, water damage and the edges were all soft like cardboard in the rain. He still keeps it in a frame on his wall though, says it reminds him of when his dad used to take him to games. I don't think he'd sell it either, even if it was mint condition. Funny how stuff like that works out, you know?
